Feet on the Ground: Haro, Barrio de la Estación.

Feet on the ground, Haro

Once more, I want to share with you a nice and singular pavement I found last week while we were visiting the exhibition around Haro and “La Rioja,Tierra Abierta”.

Duelas como pavimento

And there it is, a great way of recycling the pieces of oak wine barrels and a naturally soft and pleasant pavement to make a break in your wine tour around Haro.
I really recommend the visit and, why not, get the train and enjoy the tour…
Have a great week and don’t forget to look under your feet…
Here you have some more ‘Feet on the ground’ posts, can you tell me about a singular pavement you usually have under your shoes?
Cadaqués, where I’m always thinking about going back

Feet on the ground

Logroño

It´s been a long time since my last ‘Feet on the Ground’ post.
This is a fall picture from the Logroño pavement in a renewed historical area nearby the old wall of the city, called ‘El Cubo’ (by Ulargui-Pesquera, arch.)

In the route to Santiago, it’s obligated to visit Logroño… The capital of Rioja and nowadays ‘Capital de la Gastronomía Española’ what means you can enjoy amazing restaurants and very good tapas everywhere… I recomend you a weekend here, I will write more about Logroño soon.

Have a lucky week and don’t forget to look under your feet…

Feet on the ground

This is another of the signs to guide you in your way to Compostela, , you can find along the route to Santiago.
But in this case, this is from The Northern Route to Santiago, from Santander. That’s the way of the pilgrims that choose to go from France but near to the coast.
In my mind, that would be an incredible experience, because of the nice weather and the Cantabric- coast landscapes and the picturesque villages you can find from The Basque Country along Cantabria, Asturias and finally to Galicia.

Have you ever seen something like this? Do you want to share your photos?

Feet on the ground

Cadaqués_ mayo 2012

I can hardly remember the last time I walked over such an incredible pavement. Cadaqués, the centre of this amazing village, has the original well conserved stone streets floor. (Don't try to visit with a stroller and really dangerous on heels).

This is a popular nice Mediterranean fishing village not only because of the beauty of the traditional housing, but the picturesque corners and details everywhere.
You can also see below how are the new pavements following the tradition.

Therefore, don’t forget to take a look ‘Under yourfeet’and... enjoy your tuesday!
