Have a great weekend!

Today is an amazing bright and sunny spring Friday! And here is a nice and colored photo I want to share with you. It’s  from a fantastic olive products store (Olive Delicatessen del Mediterráneo) I visited in my latest trip to Barcelona.

A lot of different flavored vinegar bottles, with simple labels, lovely, aren’t they? And it is so good... yummy!
Perfect for a weekend lunch, I can't wait to taste the one I bought.

Enjoy your weekend!

Feet on the ground

When I am travelling I actually enjoy taking photos of the things that you cannot find in a typical travel guide, I can’t resist taking pictures of cute places, rare people and things like that.
Much as I enjoy discovering new cities and great sights, my favorite part of a trip is finding the charm of the small corners.
It is the same to me with the pavements of the streets I walk around for the first time. I can’t help looking at my feet every time I discover something new under them.
Therefore, I want to show you some of those singular pavement-photos here.

What about the first one? This is a ‘paving brick’ from Aspen, Colorado, one of the ‘heated sidewalks’ you can walk along even in a snowy evening on your dry boots.
There are lots of traditional houses and cozy mountain hotels you can still discover in this old mining town, also the most luxury boutiques and jewelry stores.
I loved this amazing ski- resort and have thousands of nice photos from there, moreover of the exclusive streets.
What little things do you like to take photos of?

Women and Wine’s world
Today’s indulgence is from Cecilia De Val, a great photographer based in Zaragoza (Ohhh Zaragoza!) whose works I’ve recently discovered.

The other day, we visited Dinastia Vivanco (@dinastiavivanco), because of a temporary art exhibition about the women through the history of art and wine’s culture and this photo was the first and impressive work that I want to share with you. I love that red dressed woman peacefully seated in that strange ‘picnic’.
I wish you like it, and…
Have a nice Wednesday!

_07_ Vino: Etiquetas personalizadas.

No puedo esperar.

Sweet wine glasses by Alvaro Siza Vieira. (Catavinos de Oporto, de Álvaro Siza Vieira).
Recently, we spent a few days on a trip along the Douro Valley. We discovered an amazing vineyards landscape- the oldest protected wine region in the world- and the incredible taste of the Porto sweet wine. Much as I enjoyed that trip, I’m not writing about that today… (I’d like to write another post about it).
Today, I want to share with you this nice Porto glass, I bought a pair of this in a family winery at Vilanova da Gaia, Porto. It was specially designed by the Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza Vieira, for the  Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto.

Although it may seem a simple design, I think it's a very sophisticated porto- glass.
Alvaro Siza also designed a wine label for Quinta do infantado, a Portuguese winery to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
I enjoy searching for non-architectural works made by architects, even more if they are wine- items.
And how do you feel about this Rioja wine-glass? It was a design- contest winner: La Copa del Rioja.

Have a nice Wednesday!
